As the summer season comes to a close, we are preparing to switch gears for the fall season. During the fall, we will dedicate our time to working on leaf pickup, dividing, transplanting and installing plant material, and sharpening your property’s details to look best for the winter. Although the season is ending, there is still much to do before the season’s end…

Aeration:

Aeration is the act of punching holes out of the turf and efficiently provide the grass’s root system with fertilizer, water and, oxygen. During the fall season the root structure is actively growing, and providing the roots with these elements improves the quality of your lawn. Over the years, your turf becomes naturally compacted, and at least one aeration per year is an effective method to loosening the root structure. Aeration is highly recommended practice if your turf has large amounts of thatch. A thick layer of thatch can deprive the roots of needed water, oxygen and nutrients, ultimately choking out the existing root system.

Bio-Green Fertilization:

Bio-green fertilization is an injection of fertilizer directly to the root system under the edge of the tree’s canopy. Like any other plant, deciduous and evergreen trees highly benefit from applications of bio-green fertilizer. Fertilization of trees…*stimulates new growth, *promotes root growth *provides the tree with energy while under stress, and *sustains a healthy tree.

Fall Color:

The fall season is a favorite due to the showy colors from the turning foliage. A way to compliment your bare annual beds with your colorful landscape is to install pansies, kale, or annual mums in your annual beds. These plants specifically enjoy cooler weather and remain floriferous until the end of fall or the first heavy frost.

Fall Harvest Display:

Another creative method to add interest to your landscape is to install a harvest display. We can create a harvest landscape that may include hay bales, pumpkins, gourds, and corn stalks.

Winter Trash Pick-Up:

During the winter months of December through March, your property can develop a vast amount of debris from the road and nearby locations. We offer a winter maintenance program designed to help keep your property free of trash and debris during the winter season.

Christmas Décor:

As we start the holiday season, we can supply your property with a variety of different decorative ensembles. Mini-lights on a tree give a front entrance a sparkle along with pots supplied with ornamental twigs, berries, and assorted evergreens. Evergreen boughs added to plant beds insulate existing plant material during the winter season and offer curb appeal. Poinsettias are available in different sizes for office interior charm or make great employee gifts.

Dormant Pruning:

Deciduous trees and shrubs drop their leaves as they go dormant over the winter. This is a perfect time to prune branches without the fear of shocking the plants. Proper pruning is an important element of maintaining the tree’s vigor. Dormant pruning is an intensive pruning that removes dead, diseased, declining wood, and promotes growth and bud development.
